The impeachment trial for Donald Trump is underway, and one thing we never thought we’d hear in a situation like that is a Biggie reference.
That’s right, when New York Congressman Hakeen Jeffries took the floor, he nodded the late Notorious B.I.G.. When Jay Sekulow asked, “Why are we here?” Jeffries responded: “We are here, sir, because President Trump corruptly abused his power and then he tried to cover it up”
“That is why we are here Mr. Sekulow. And if you don’t know, now you know,” he concluded, in reference to Biggie’s 1994 classic.

One person who was particularly thrilled at the reference was former Attorney General Eric Holder, who took to Twitter to priase “Brooklyn in the house.” See it below.
